Sony AIT 3 Tape Drive Repair / Exchange

Techwaredist recently received in a Sony AIT3 tape drive that was unrepairable due to severe head damage and the fact that spare parts are difficult on older AIT drives as support was dropped by the manufacturer in March of 2010. We offered the customer a trade-in exchange option for $795. The customer was very happy as the exchange drive has a full 1 year parts and labor warranty.

We were able to get the replacement drive shipped out in a few days.

We will respond within a few minutes during business hours Monday - Friday. We have a $65 test and advise fee for single tape drives, $125 for tape autoloaders and libraries. The test and advise fee is then applied to the overall repair bill if you choose to proceed with our repair services. If you choose not to go ahead with the repair, the test and advise fee is not refundable. No charge for unrepairable drives.
