Dell LTO-2 Tape Library Repair (PV-122T)

A recent customer of ours just sent in this Dell PowerVault 122T rackmount tape library for repair. It was determined that the power supply needed replacing in addition to a thorough cleaning of the drive and library. We also adjusted the tape path, check and calibrated the robotic picker system, and re-seeded the tape magazine assembly. A full test, back-up and restore was performed on the drive after it was re-installed in the library case. The cost was $675 with a 6 month warranty on all of the repaired items.

We will respond within a few minutes during business hours Monday - Friday. We have a $65 test and advise fee for single tape drives, $125 for tape autoloaders and libraries. The test and advise fee is then applied to the overall repair bill if you choose to proceed with our repair services. If you choose not to go ahead with the repair, the test and advise fee is not refundable. No charge for unrepairable drives.
