Dell SDLT-320 Internal Tape Drive Repair

Techwaredist just repaired this internal SDLT drive made by Dell. Our customer contacted us as they were having read and write errors with their DLT Super DLT drive. After receiving the drive, we cleaned the inner workings of the drive as well as the head assembly. Checked the head alignment and did a full update of the firmware. We then proceeded to run a full series of tests including a full backup and restore. The Dell tape drive passed all of the tests within factory specifications. The total repair cost was $425.

If you choose not to go ahead with the repair, the test and advise fee is not refundable. No charge for unrepairable drives.
