Robert Schaefer, President of Breece Hill, announced today that Techware Distribution, Inc. of Minneapolis, MN has acquired Maxoptix Corporation.
Maxoptix is a leader in the magneto optical disk and drive storage.
Techware will continue to supply the entire line of Maxoptix 5.25″ magneto optical media and 5.25″ drives through current wholesale/dealer channels.
Popular products include 5.25″ 2.3gb, 4.1gb and 5.2gb MO rewritable and WORM media, as well as 5.25″ 9.1gb MO drives.In addition, new products like a 3.5″ 1.3gb USB magneto optical drive will be rolled out in early 2nd quarter of 2008.
Techware plans on expanding the Maxoptix MO disk market share through more efficient distribution strategies.
