Here are some advanced tips and ideas to follow that will help you get the most out of you Rimage Everest thermal printer.

1. Clean the Everest printhead every 2000 discs, or bi-weekly. Only use the approved Rimage Everest printhead cleaning kit, part# 210725-001.

2. Clean the tacky rollers on the Everest CMY ribbon carriage holder monthly with standard rubbing alcohol. This will help keep unwanted dust and debris from entering the printer.

3. Clean the platen roller in the Everest CD printer if you notice diminished disc print quality (like white specks on your printed CDs or DVDs). Make sure to take care not to poke around in the printer with any sharp objects.

4. Clean the fan filters monthly. The Everest II and Everest III printers have one air filter. The Everest 600 has four air filters.

5. Wipe off the exterior of your Everest printer weekly with a lint free cloth.

6. Operate the Everest printer in a low humidity room with a temperature between 59° to 86° Fahrenheit.

7. Check for print driver updates on the Rimage website quarterly.

8. Use a surge protector

By following this advice, and the basic tips from the previous article, you will be well on your way to getting the most from your Rimage printer.
